“In this course, we will see the strategies and tools that I use when painting a portrait. We will start from the beginning where I’ll explain the materials I use when painting and then we will do a preliminary study of the aspects prior to execution, such as illumination and composition. I’ll be sharing how I do my preliminary color sketches for portraits and the complete process of constructing an oil portrait, from the base structure to the final details. Elements such as color distribution, process, and design will be reviewed and finally, we will analyze a painting in order to deeply understand the elements you must take into account when developing your own portrait project. We will learn to suggest and sacrifice information to be able to say more with less.”
