Through this course, we will talk about the very foundation that academic and realistic painting is built upon, both in practice and in theory. We will talk about the fundamental concepts that serve as the pillars for landscape painting and that which a realistic landscape painting cannot be constructed without. We’ll practice different landscape situations and I’ll share with you my personal approach and how I deal with every single one and how you can interpret nature in a realistic way, giving your personal touch as well. We’ll need to take a stand on some rules and concepts of traditional painting based on realism. We will study deeply the elements that grab the viewer into the painting and let them walk around in the world that seems almost as familiar as the very reality they’re used to experiencing or could experience. This course is designed for whoever wants to learn the fundamentals of landscape painting, Joakim will share with you his personal approach and fundamentals tools you’ll need to get started. This course will help you to understand various factors in landscape painting as well as how you can improve your own process and achieve a better impression of your landscape paintings.
